rawing realistically has been a revered art ever since the ancients used markmaking to create the illusion of depth on a two‐dimensional surface. This course is designed for beginners who want to learn the basics of drawing from life.
Students will develop their representational drawing skills using a variety of media.
As the course progresses, students will draw from still lifes, photographic references, and finally live models. Through a series of demonstrations, in‐class drawing, group critiques, and individual assistance from the instructor, students will develop their ability to draw convincingly from life.
